Canon 50D wireless remote

Can anyone recommend a wireless remote shutter release for the Canon 50D.

I'm presuming this takes over from the need to use self timer mode, when using a tripod & needing a very steady finger?

The ones by Hahnel get good reviews.
I stood on my Canon remote so now using a Chinese copy off ebay that cost me £5 +pp.
When it packs up I think I'll go for the Hahnel.
I think they come with adaptors so they can fit any Canon DSLR and the G11

Have a look on flee-bay. You can get some wireless triggers suitable for the 50D for maybe £10 or so.
