Canon 60D and LCD monitor / live view

I have just bought a Canon 60D which is my first SLR. Is it normal for the camera to make a slight clicking sound as it switches to the LCD Monitor / live view??

I just want to make sure it is not some kind of manufacturing fault while I am still within the time period to return the camera.

It's the mirror flicking up and the shutter opening to let the light at the sensor.
