Canon 7D or 70D?

Depends if you don't mind spending the extra on a 70D or not. The 7D seems to go for about £460 - £500 s/h or you can buy a new 70D from HDEW for £600.

Going to a 70D will save you having to buy new compact flash memory cards to replace your SD cards, so it might be a better deal.
 
What are you going to use it for? I don't have experience with either camera but based on the reviews I've seen, the 70D will perform better in low light but the 7D will probably auto-focus slightly faster. Personally, if I was to switch back from mirrorless to an SLR body, I'd probably go with the 70D.
 
Both are crop sensor bodies so there isn't much if between them in terms of image quality, mainly handling and features. If you need bullet proof high fps monster then the 7D, for everything else the 70D new with a warranty probably makes more sense.
 
I've had both and prefer the 70d. I was never happy with the performance at higher ISO on the 7d. Having said that the 70d isn't perfect, but it's better.

Just general run of the mill stuff. Landscapes, portrait etc.

Do need low light capability though. My partner is a bell ringer and it's a bit dim in some towers

Would you not be better with 6D as 7D and 70D are more for faster action

6D good low light and better IQ for landscapes
