Can imagine that being a bit of a handful to hold steady, or were you using a tripod???

Ok the thanks for that how do you find the auto focus
I rarely use it to be honest, never really been an issue for me.Ok the thanks for that how do you find the auto focus
Yes you can. It's not as comfortable as with a DSLR though, the button spacing is a bit cramped for my big hands, but as stated above, I rarely use AF anyway...Also does anyone know if you can use back button focus
I really like my EOS M3 with the viewfinder and the EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens. Great combination!
See some pics here: http://www.everyothershot.com/eos-m3-and-ef-100mm-f2-8l-is-usm-macro-for-people-spotting/
The only EF-M lens I like is the EF-M 22mm f/2.0 STM, that's a great little lens. The 11-22 is quite useful but quite slow...
I use a cheap 3rd party EF - EF-M adapter with mostly EF prime lenses and very happy with that...
I still have the old EOS M as well, I pretty much keep the 18-55 EF-M lens on that permanently as a "I need to grab a camera quickly because my son is doing something interesting" camera at home.
I must say I'm struggling to understand why you don't get on with the 11-22mm. I find it a fab little lens, and usually my lens of choice when out and about. Under what conditions do you find it slow? If you prefer something a bit quicker I know Samyang do a nice 12mm prime in M mount. No AF though..I'm going out for a day shooting tomorrow on the Thames, taking the EOS M3 with the 11-22 again just to give that lens another chance.
I really liked the EOS M, especially after the firmware update that doubled the autofocus speed.

Gotcha. Yeah I'm usually using it at the 11 end, around F8 and going for architectural/landscape shots. Plenty of urban landscape opportunities around London I should imagine Looking forward to seeing what you come back with!I mean slow as in f/5.6 at 22mm compared to f/2.0 for the prime.
Granted for wide angles a lot of the time you'll want to shoot f/5.6 or higher. I last used it at a wedding where I was using an EOS 5D Mark III with 24-70 as the primary camera, and I found the 11-22 shots... boring. Hopefully tomorrow will be a more appropriate venue to try it out.
They said the same about 2015....http://www.canonrumors.com/2015/08/eos-m-finally-getting-attention-from-canon-in-2016-cr2/ I know its only a rumor, but come on canon, up your game..
They said the same about 2015....
...but I so want it to be true
Oh that's very cool, thanks for sharing. Was eyeing up a similar housing for the M but wasn't sure how good they would be, then started worrying about the lighting. Really pleased you've managed to use it to great effect!Well my EOS-M has just become even more useful with the addition of this > http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LX4TH...m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0FG54DTSC20P2WA5J1HP
Took it with me on a recent Red Sea trip and was really impressed with both the camera and housing. Even down at 40m everything worked a treat and no leaks. Was a little bouyant but was just using the housing. Have since attached a handle, arm and strobe and expect it to be slightly negative.
Can't think of a better underwater camera package for £320!
A couple of shots below:

Funnily enough I've just been working on a new article "ten things to do with your EOS M" and I read your Amazon review as I am adding "use it underwater!" as one of the ten items.
Would it be possible at all for me to use one of your pics (scaled down 720px wide, and with full credits) to help illustrate this? I'll be using manufacturer's photo of the housing too. For the blog listed in my profile!
That would make it much easier for people to understand the quality they can expect.
Thanks!

I'm not sure but it doesn't sound to me like something that would be possible.Does anyone know if I can turn off the menu button & use the fn button instead as I have a habit of keep catching it & turning menu on.
