Canon mp 640 printer and snow leopard

Hi I am thinking of buying the above printer,BUT I have read it can be quite complex to up load with a mac,does anyone have any advice or should I just plug in the USB and let snow leopard grab the software and upload itself ?

It's highly probable that SL already has you printers driver available. I've got 3 Epson printers and SL found all of them, plus there was a driver update in December I think.

Just checked the Apple support site and you printer is listed as having SL support. Here's the link

I have a Canon Pro 9000 and the missus has a Epson SX100 and both printers work just fine with Snow Leopard. I have never even installed any software or drivers with them both, they were recognised as soon as the USB is plugged in.
Dont think you will have any problems setting up your printer.
