Can't choose AF point

i'm having a mental block here... i've been playing around with my D90 and its settings, but have changed a setting which means I can't use the directional keypad to choose one of the 11 AF points, it's 'locked' to the central point... what have i changed? :thinking:

i'm shooting in Manual too...
 
AF-Metering mode?

On my D60 setting it to Dynamic Area does what you're descriping, single points lets you choose.

Although I imagine the D90 has a few more options.
 
Asumming you have it on the right setting - is the slide button to right hand side of the screen next to the "DOT" or "L" L = Locked?

This is from memory so don't shot me down if it isn't 100% correct.

Enjoy the D90 - I can't afford one at the moment as I am trying to buy a house !!!

ahh mate, I feel for ya! i've gone about it the other way round... scoping out potential new residences at the moment!
