Car Mount

I want to mount a Panasonic GX85 on the bonnet of a car to record the drive up to a stately home. Of the mounts I've seen the Delkin Fat Gecko Triple Mount at £78 looks to be a good compromise of price and quality. The cheaper ones I have seen appear to be a bit fragile and unreliable.

Any other suggestions for a triple suction type mount.

I'd be tempted to fashion my own bracket using one of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/triple-cup-suction-lifter/7912p

I've used these in the past and I know they hang on - as for the flimsy little ones; I wouldn't use anything other than something small like a Go-Pro.

I think they are OK if you have flat panels but if you have a curved bonnet then you need some form of pivot at the suction cup to allow it to follow the contour.

I went for the Fat Gecko version in the end. Although the job was rained off so I don't know whether it was worth the extra.
