My wife kindly got me a new tripod for Xmas, the only thing is it has an Arca type mounting. This has prompted me to look at my carrying solution, currently I use a BR Sport and am a convert to sling type straps. The problem with the BR is the only method I've seen to attach it to an Arca plate is by attaching an Arca clamp to the strap. Call me paranoid but I'm a little unsure about how secure it would be.
The other solution I've seen is the Carry Speed system however they seem harder to get hold of ie. no manufacturer site. The straps seem available from a few places as well as Amazon and EBay, but the plate, which for me is the main selling feature is harder to find.
My question is for people who use the CarrySpeed system is how do you find it and where sells the plates?
