Cheap slave? :-)

Hi

I'm looking for a relatively cheap slave flash for a Canon 60D for the wireless system.

I already have a 430exII for the camera and I want something at least as powerful for portrait shots with one flash either side (studio style).

I dot want to spend too much. Any recommendations?

Check out the Yongnuo range, some swear by them for value for money. I have never used one so maybe a quick forum/google search for "Yongnuo" will put you in the right direction. If you want a bit more quality and options then maybe check out the Nissan range, as I know first hand they are good and cheap compared to the Canon lineup.

Most cheaper flashes don't support wireless E-TTL. Look at the Yongnuo YN-565EX, the Nissin Di622 mark 2 and the Nissin Di866.

Be prepared for x-sync problems. Cheapest way around that is to get something like the Yongnuo 460Mk2 which has an S2 slave mode to handle the camera's pre-flash. Either that or go full manual with radio triggers, eg Yongnuo RF-602.
