Cheep sd cards

"results"? Meaning what? All your images will be identical from all cards. Cheaper/slower cards are just slower, but you'll only notice if you fill your camera's buffer. Unless you shoot sports are action where you need high frame rates, it will make absolutely no difference.

Downloading your images will be faster with a faster card... but so what?

Just get a quality brand so it's realiable if you don't shoot sports... don't worry about speed too much.

sandisc extreme cards can be had for under £10 in 8GB form from mymemory, 7dayshop etc.

Then the speed makes absolutely no difference whatsoever as the camera's buffer is the limiting factor. Only if you shoot more than.. for argument's sake 15 shots in RAW on a D600 will it start to spool to the card... THEN the card makes a difference... but only then.

I only ever use transend class 10. I've been using them for years with no problems, and if there was a problem i would get them replaced on there lifetime warranty. 16gb on amazon are under £10. However the pcworld deals a cracker.

I have 2x 16GB Transcend class 10 SD cards. Had them for around 4 years now. used heavily and never missed a beat. Recommended.

I use Sandisk Extreme from MyMemory. Good cards, a decent price and good service.

Experience tells me to avoid Ebay.

And my "experience" of buying an SD card from them via eBay, tell me to avoid them at all costs.
eBay had to step in, in order to have my money refunded, after I worked with them on waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more, when it failed to arrive.
Then, once the date that they could get RM to start an investigation came, they wanted me to confirm my address before they'd process the refund.
Needless to say, they got told in no uncertain terms where to go!
Thankfully, I'd already opened the Resolution case, otherwise it'd be the New Year before it would've been resolved.
Funnily enough, a refund was made without any address details being confirmed - I did tell them that's what would happen - and as I left my avoidance recommendation feedback, I noticed this was a recurring theme with them.

So, fwiw, avoid having any dealings with MyMemory if you value your sanity and expect anything but gutter-level customer service.

On a more positive note (well, it is Christmas), I ordered a SanDisk Extreme Pro from Picstop on eBay.
It obviously was delayed, but I spoke with them on Monday, and they were more than happy to send out a replacement with a return it if the original turns up request, and they'd pick up the postage back as well.
So.......as per Sod's Law, the original did arrive on Wednesday (only a week and a bit later than expected!) with the replacement on Friday.
Numbnuts here forgot all about the freepost bit, so paid 90p odd to send it back on Saturday, but given the manner in which they dealt with my concern that the original may've gone astray, it was money well spent.

That's what you call customer service and satisfaction.

I've used MyMemory numerous times without issue, but that was through their website directly, not the eBay store. I have also purchased from Amazon, 7 Day Shop and Play without problem. I wouldn't ever buy a memory card from eBay as there are far too many fakes around and a friend had problems getting his faulty card replaced by the manufacturer as it had been purchased from eBay.
I only ever use Kingston, Sandisk and Transcend cards and have only ever had one card failure which was years ago.

I've only ever dealt with MyMemory through their own website and my experience has been the inverse of yours.

The only time I've had a problem was with a faulty memory card reader. It was replaced immediately and without having to send the faulty unit back.

I've learned the hard way.

I bought a cheap unbranded SD card from Amazon after reading some great reviews. Used it for a while with no problems.

Then as luck would have it during my first wedding where I was the primary shooter, I sat down during the meal to back up my files. Opened the card in explorer and was presented with a page of gobbledegook.

After that butt clenching moment I have always stuck to trusted names such as Sandisk and only buy them from reputable dealers such as direct from Amazon rather than 3rd parties or eBay where your chances of getting a fake are much higher.

I now realise that trying to save a couple of quid isn't worth it.

I've had a cheap CF card fail on me so now only use SanDisk cards. I get them from whichever reputable supplier is doing the best deal, usually 7dayshop or Amazon, although I'll be taking a trip to PCWorld/Currys to pick up a twin pack of 16GB Ultras. From Amazon, the best deals seem to be via MyMemory and I've never had any problem with their service. The only product problem I've had was a card reader which was replaced quickly when the faulty item was returned to them (the supplied special lead wouldn't fit). Bought from them direct as well - again, no problem.
