Church/old building locations?

A makeup artist/hairdresser approached me, having seen my work online, wanting to do a vintage-style shoot in a church/old building. I was just wondering if anyone new any interesting locations that I could try out, before I plunge head-first, blind into the world of the million Google hits...

Thanks.

(By the way, I'm based in London and do not want to have to travel out of the city, if avoidable)

Find a local nice church and get in touch with them? If it's weekday they'll probably allow you to have a shoot as long as it's nothing too out of the way ;)

Sorry indoors.

And Nick, do you think a church would be happy to let me shoot inside? The only problem is I want a old stone building/gothic architecture feel, not a church feel. I don't want it to be obvious that I'm shooting in a church, really.

I'm sure there's a chance they'll allow you. There's no shame in asking. The worst they can do is say "no". Like I've said in the other thread, if you see an old building on urbex sites, go and have a recce around and see how easy access is. A lot of the time it's as easy as walking through a door ;)
