Recently had a few days in Barcelona . Decided rather than take my tried and trusted 28-135 canon on its own, I'd also take my sigma 12-24 and 85 f1.4 prime.
The 28-135 hardly saw any use at all mainly used the 85 wide open and got some excellent results and used the 12-24 at its widest for some interesting architectural and landscape pictures .
The 85mm on a full frame body is quite a Lens I've just got to tear myself away from the 1.4 setting which is difficult to do when the bokeh is so nice. I feel I've become a much more creative photographer with these two lenses.
I've been into photography now for nearly 30 years, having previously owned a Minolta x700 and a Nikon 801. Yet I think I've taken over 60% of my best pictures in the last 5 months thanks to the addition of the two sigmas to my lens kit.
Wish I'd bought these lenses when I was younger when it wouldn't have been such a chore to carry them around.
