Hi can you help what is the best way/equipment to clean the focus mirror on canon cameras?

I have bin using a Hama Lens Cleaning Pen for years now and it perfect. its light weight easy to use and cheap as chips.

Bulb blower
Not the canned air, do it wrong with that and you will flood your camera with liquid. but the squeeze bulbs, search, rocket blowers.
Avoid touching anything in your mirror housing unless your totally aware that one slip can mean disaster.
Otherwise easy as peas

Normally a rocket blower, however I did once use a microfibre cloth for a very gentle wipe for a stubborn bit. Just be very gentle when you're doing it.

Er, nothing!

The mirror's refelctive coating is on the front surface and is easily damaged. Also, any gunk on the mirror will have zero effect on the final image. I'd leave it alone.

If it's really filthy, consider sending it off for a professional clean. Maybe a rocket blower blow but then the gunk could get blown onto the shutter blades.
