hi,
after a bit of advice on adaptor rings for my p type filters, I damaged my cokin P452 ring adaptor and after looking online i've found kood equivalents?? much cheaper.

Stupid question but are the kood ones ok? and will they fit the same as my previous adaptor?

Thanks in advance.

Kood stuff is good value

I had a couple of round Kood filters when I first delved into using filters and they where OK but I have come to the conclusion that you only get what you pay for. If you buy a £300 or £500 or more lens why would you place a cheap filter over those optics? IMO better to buy good quaility filters but the adaptors again is the YOGWYPF.

The Adaptor rings for the Cokin Mount stuff from Kood, or the fleabay china links which probably come from the same factory are perfectly okay. As far as the actual bit that the filter fits into, the Cokin ones are MUCH better than the knock off versions. Okay, they aren't exactly up to the standard of the Lee Filters jobs, but they are £9-£10, not £55 for a starter pack and another £20-£40 for the adaptor rings. When it comes to filters however, I definitely think that if you're going to use filters, then get the best you can afford. I've heard good things about the hitech ND grads - either the soft or hard grad kits, and I'm thinking of trying out one of their reverse grads for sunrise/sunset work. Okay, again they're not quite up to Lee filters, but they're available without a 3 month wait, and affordable without selling a kidney.
