Hi Folks,

A merry crimbo to you all. Ok my prob...... I have photoshop elements 7 the colour management is set to AdobeRGB. I have been reading up on the threads and have checked my monitor Colour management which is SRGB which is running vista by the way. I have tried to change my clour system for the monitor to AdobeRGB I cannot find the profile to change it to. Where do I find the AdobeRGB profile to add to the monitor colour management selection.

I thank you for your advice and have asked Santa for the Spyder Colour Calibration thingy.

Have a good new year

I have Vista on my works PC but it's been ages since I set the profile on it. I believe you go to Control Panel > Color and assign it from there...

Bear in mind though, to really take advantage of AdobeRGB 1998 you will also need to set the cameras colour space to AdobeRGB.

Also, when exporting to web or (most) online print services you will also need to convert the image back to sRGB to ensure the colours remain accurate.

To be honest you are probably better off using sRGB rather than Adobe RGB. The problem is most monitors and printers cannot accommodate the colour range of Adobe RGB, and this may give you anomalies when it comes to printing and web viewing.

It’s best to calibrate your monitor, I don’t think you can have adobe setting for you screen.
When you output your work you need to change it to sRGB as most printers want this if you shoot in RAW working in the biggest space is good for PP but when you have finished you need to convert it also good to have the right profile for your printing be it your own printer or sending it out.
