Not sure how to photograph the subject (would be interesting to see if there is anyone who can present some interesting examples)

We all live in a very varied and culturally differnt world! Presenting a problem with harmony more often than not.

So why is this?

Here at TP we all hopefully have a common interest, i.e., Photography. Whether it be learning about new techniques, general comments, critique on whatever level.

But outside of photgraphy there is another world ......

One where we should have freedom of speech, but that is no definite as there is always someone we will offend with even the most polite intent.

I have had quite a challenging week in this respect, airing my views, opinions and concerns on a particular topic; being put in a challenging position; and having to accept C&C (fortunately with some advice and help, but on the flip side also having to accept differences and, unfortunatley, friendship).

So my question is ....... am I alone in this? or do others experience the same?

[I hope I am not the only one experiencing this, otherwise I may have to find a very desserted island somewhere very far from civilisation, but hopefully with broadband and my camera :))

Please let me know......

Failing which you can contact me at .....

BUMP! So I take it you are all righteous peeps here, either that or you are too scared to reply to such a 'heart-hitting' thread?

i am here, just don't get what you are "getting at"

I assume a thread on here, maybe a link would help????????

I too read the post and honestly did not understand what kind of response you were trying to elicit so I didn't ;)

Can't say that I have experienced something that heavy, I believe in I do things my way and everyone else can please themselves, however there are 2 or more sides to every story/discussion, everyone is entitled to their opinion

:)

Do

Trust a South African to notice! haha

So were is your vuvuzela?

Bafana Bafana!

What don't you undersand about the 'getting at'?

more to the point this thread should be in OOF forum, or the TP forum

I was not wanting a response 'per se' just for people to think about where they are and what is expected of them.

OMG I got it wrong again! When will I ever learn about where to post here on TP (that must be the most difficult challenge!)

That is a good outlook on life! And yes there is alway 2 sides

Dawn,

Sorry, but in my first post I was being completely honest - I have absolutely no idea what you are on about........ it's a all a lot of deep nothing, without the context to what you are referring to........ obviously crap has happened but neither I nor all the other TP'ers have any idea as to what you are referring to..........

I am also not a South African - though my many South African friends have adopted me, and made me an honorary one for the duration of the 2010 World Cup (whilst SA remain in it.) I am trying to make myself interested in football for the world cup, but failing..... (I can do a very convincing South African accent though, and have spent many a drunken night on the Waterfront in Cape Town, chatting with English and German Tourists, in a heavy Afrikaans accent......)

My Vuvuzela, is somewhere between Cape Town International Airport and Home. My very good friend, Aissa, has sent one.......... in the meantime, I have to make do with the vuvuzela app on the iPhone....

and yes, Bafana Bafana...... and "Siyabonga Tshabalala" is totally up there on the cool wall of unusual names for your kid! Right I am off to harvest the Biltong before bed (you think I am joking!)

You asked someone out or similar and got turned down? (Uses mystical obfuscation translator)

Well, I don't have this problem, not right at the moment, but I do seem to be getting considerably more arguements/heated disagreements in the office - not quite sure how this has happened and whether its necessarily a bad thing, but man, some people really are sensitive souls!

Maybe I am just homesick! I miss my family and friends so much, especially at this profound time.

Sorry if I have confused you all so much!

D :)

I know what you mean.

So why does this happen? Is it age related?

No idea, I'm slightly concerned it's because I'm on the bounce out of a long-term relationship, reducing my tolerance for BS (which normally has to be extremely high in some of the places I work), resulting in me behaving a bit more like a human wrecking ball than is strictly necessary.

Either that or I need a drink. :help:

Pass me the bottle ..... I need a good swig!

Having read your first post maybe you should talk to Frank. :D
