Compact with best IQ?

I currently have a tiny lumix that fits in my pocket and is barely noticeable (it's the main reason I bought it)

I find the IQ ok but not great and the dynamic range is a bit poor

What is currently considered the king of IQ & dynamic range amongst compacts?

I'm not too fussed about a larger compact as long as it isn't too big although I'm not after something too big or heavy

p.s. RAW capability would by nice too :)

You'd forget what the GF1 costs.

At ISO100 it's as capable as my 5d, and it fits in my jacket pocket.

My G10 ISO from 80 - 3200 RAW files 14.7 mega pixels M Av Tv P auto Movie -2 to +2 EV in 1/3 EV steps Macro f2.8 Evaluative, Center Weighted, Spot Hotshoe image ratios 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 28 -140mm zoom 3ins screen Viewfinder 109 x 78 x 46 mm (4.3 x 3.1 x 1.8 in) what more can you ask for

I'd say the Panasonic LX3 looks to be the best compact out at the moment, and I'd definitely get one if my current LX1 broke (and I could afford the £300 it costs!)

It has a high quality Leica f2.0-2.8 wide lens, full manual controls, RAW mode, and is fairly small to carry around every day. Plus it seems to get glowing reviews everywhere!
