Concept Camera: The WVIL...

An interesting concept .
 
I don't know whether it's pheasable with the lens thing however I think that the way it was adjusted using touch screen should have been used on the Sony NEX series because it would be much better. I don't like touch screen compared to hard buttons but if you are using a 3" screen and have to use a scroll wheel it just seems pointless :lol:
 
I think it'd be more interesting to see something like that lens which synced with an iphone or android phone and allowed wireless viewfindering.
Could even be a small stand alone camera which could hook up to your phone.
 
cept it's not even a concept, just an idea that doesn't work.

however, can't be too hard to make a camera to link via wi/fi to a ipad and then have the ipad control the camera remotely, which would probably actually work, as the whole lens with a sensor in the back idea will struggle unless it is really long...

Like 2 inches long? *** that's about the depth of my NEX plus 16mm front to back. And there's a screen on there too.
 
Personally I think this (if ever actually made) is a really good idea. It will not be to everyones taste and certainly won't be suitable for every photographer and/or pictures. Would definately be a fancy bit of kit to use as secondary camera
