The reason I've posted in this forum is because Sacha Dent is an Australian conservationist and carried out an epic journey by paramotor from Russia to WWT Slimbridge back in 2016 flying with the migrating Bewick swans. Sadly, it's being reported that she and her cameraman have crashed whilst flying her paramotor in Scotland on a round-Britain trip to highlight climate change. She's been seriously injured and the cameraman was killed.

Re the 4500 mile(7000km) journey from Russia to WWT Slimbridge, 8 miles from Gloucester, she flew alongside the migrating Bewick swans that each year fly to Slimbridge from Russia ,sometimes via the Netherlands where they have a stop-over. At Slimbridge their journey is closely monitored and the people in the Netherlands let Slimbridge know when they arrive and leave there. The swans were arriving at Slimbridge with gun shot pellets in them and some of the known swans weren't arriving atall as they'd been killed. Sacha went to see where this was happening. She landed along the Russian coastline, Estonia,Latvia, Poland etc and she spoke to the people in the remote villages getting the head honcho onside to try and get them to stop shooting the swans and it worked.

Here's a map showing the route she took. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-38206046

This is her video. It's really worth a watch
