Yes
I thought that you could contact O2 from an O2 pay monthly mobile by calling 202? However, when I dial 202 >> call, it just beeps three times and says call ended.
I'm loathed to call from a landline and pay to sit listening to a recorded message about how important I am to them for half an hour.

Am I missing something???

It's 202 indeed, but this is possibly the busiest four hours of their entire year, so the phone system is likely in meltdown!

I'm sure... but I'm off to THREE, who for some reason have perfect coverage around me (how things have changed)

By the way, how's your head now Ruth :bonk:

Hi you could try these freephone numbers from your landline. O2 Customer Services 0800 0321402
Also: 0800 9777702 & 0800 9777027

hope they help.

Sore thanks
I feel like I'm swimming in treacle :gag:

Yippee, I got through three sets of "press 1 for..." before being told they are too busy to take my call this time. The joy of automated call handling :suspect:

I'll "try later" as they suggest ;)

Theres no coverage for 3 round here....

I've just had to ring 202 myself. I have multiple contracts and the phone contract I got for my daughter whilst she is at uni was up so I got my new iPhone5 on that one.... Had to ring them to change the nano sim to the right number....

My phone is up in March so might switch to 3 for the iPhone 5s/5b/6/"new" or whatever it will be.

I can think of worse substances to be swimming in Ruth... but maybe that's still to come for you :gag::gag::gag:

Ewwww, but no...never happening.

Probably because people have found out the iPhone 5 takes a nano sim and not a micro!

202 is the right number, but if you're looking to get a pac number and leave O2 expect a 30 min hold before anyone answers the phone. Both myself and my wife had this earlier this week.

but as others have said, I suspect it'll be the iPhone launch causing the grief

Quickest way to get through is to an online advisor
I did it this week for a PAC code

Hurray, after 58 mins of music over speakerphone a voice on the end of the line! Job done
Who says blokes can't multitask!

Thanks everyone for your help

58 mins, a new record

I bet a new customer will be answered within a min or two ;)
