Convex or concave?

I took this on Saturday and noticed a nice effect when playing with the crop that makes it look either convex or concave depending on how I focus on it.

Focusing is not the reason for the illusion, it is more

Nice thought. The light on the building gives it away as concave to me but nice trick all the same

Yep, good illusion.

I guess if it was to be convex then we would be looking down on it, concave we would be looking up? Is that how everyone else sees it?

If so then it'd be the internal ceilings which give it away as concave to me.

Concave as the wall on the right with no windows casts a slight shadow onto the wall with Windows directly adjacent to it.

Very cool shot though none the less.
