    hello,

I have a Coolpix P900 and I want to change the auto setting (green camera symbol) setting from single shoot to continuous but I cant find the correct menu to go into.

I can change the setting on other modes (eg birdwatching mode) but don't seem to be able to change this, please remember I'm new to this!

one more thing would you recommend a screw on UV filter?

    many thanks

Your user manual is your friend. You can find one online here: http://download.nikonimglib.com/archive3/hUn6f00KVHin03m7bxZ504dss598/P900RM_(En)06.pdf

On page 67 it says that, to engage continuous shooting, you must have the mode dial set to P, S, A, M or U.

P mode is similar to full auto but allows the user to select the shutter speed or aperture once the camera's decided its ideal settings. It'll keep the same exposure but with your choice of important parameter (should you want to change anything from the camera's choices.)
