copying and burning video to DVD help

hi folks

i have a DVD that i want to make 2 copies of for friends of mine[instructiuonal DVD].I have a DVD re-writer on my PC,and when i try to use the windows media player to drag the files into the pane for burning,it won't allow me to drag them across for some reason..anyone have an idea why this is happening?

also,is there a good free software out there that i can use to do the above task?

If it's your DVD, just reauthor it again. If it's a copyrighted DVD you shouldn't be discussing it here.

it's a martial arts DVD that was made by someone i know,and i was given a copy as i was in the DVD.i have been given permission to make copies,but i'm having problems that are listed above...hence my asking thge question
