Cotswold and Panamoz

Had some searches on Cotswold, and I saw that nearly all Tamron lenses are gone.
Is Tamron actively stopping their 'grey channels'?

Same with OM lenses. But email them as I think they can still get them.
They did me a quote for an OM one last week

I've ordered the R5mk2 with the Control Ring Adapter from Panamoz this afternoon, so hopefully delivery won't take too long.

Tomorrow I'll be ordering a new PC for photo processing so I can edit the files...somehow I don't think Lightroom 4 and PSE 10 will be up to the job  :$

It does seem to be the case @Brentor

I bought some items from Camerasdori and my bank statement clearly showed the items came from Camerasdori.

But...I payed with PayPal and that statement showed the seller as Cotswold Cameras.

My Cameriz order is still showing in HK by the tracking and hasn’t updated since Thursday. Ordered on the 17th of August and this is the longest delivery I’ve had so far.

For anyone ordering who needs it quickly, use Panamoz as they’re usually 3-4 days delivery.

You're not kidding about Panamoz...I placed an order yesterday afternoon and I've already got a tracking number.

I really was banking on the delivery taking at least a week so I'm off work.

Ordered my R6mk3 from Panamoz on the evening of 1.7.26 and it was delivered mid day 7.7.26

Tracked from HK/Istanbul/Charles De Gaulle/Stanstead/Dartford/Enfield/Borehamwood. Amazing service :-)

D

I ordered a battery grip and a spare battery for the R5mk2 from Camerasdori 11 days ago and I still haven't had an update or a tracking number.

Looks like there's quite a difference in the quality of service between Camerasdori/Cotswold and Panamoz.

Not sure if this has been covered and in what detail - Do Panamoz have items shipped direct and Cotswold often have things shipped to their UK base (to check the item) - then send it on. What are the implications of each way should they get stopped at customs for additional import and tax charges (I don;t think this actually happens as much as it probably should with grey imports)

I think they do because you get tracking all the way from China usually. Where as Cotswold and E-Infinity only the tracking from within the UK.

They don't get stopped. You just get an invoice (I've had one) with Panamoz you just send them the invoice and they pay it.

Bit late to the Party but I've used E-Infinity and Cotswold twice, my take is that with the savings even if you had to pay to get a repair done you would still be in pocket - what's not to like? BTW: I have not had to get any repairs nor had issues with customs etc. It usually takes about 5 days to arrive, I think they import them from HongKong as soon as you order

I ordered my R5mk2 from Panamoz on Monday afternoon and received a tracking number yesterday.

And today I received an update saying UPS had picked up the package in Hong Kong and they have given me an estimated delivery for Thursday between 9.15 and 13.15!

I'm struggling to believe that UPS can deliver that quickly from Hong Kong or am I wrong?

Whether it comes or not I now have to stay in just in case.

My Camerasdori/Cotswold delivery arrived this morning, so 14 days from placing the order to delivery...I saved £100 on the Panamoz price so worth the extra wait I guess.

If Panamoz can deliver my R5mk2 in 6 days I'll be very pleased.

No...my Panamoz order is still in transit and has apparently left HK and has now departed India.

UPS tracking is now estimating delivery for tomorrow which just isn't going to happen, so not sure why it's giving unrealistic delivery times.

Hopefully it will be here by Monday.
