Same with OM lenses. But email them as I think they can still get them.Had some searches on Cotswold, and I saw that nearly all Tamron lenses are gone.
Is Tamron actively stopping their 'grey channels'?
Where did you find this information ?It does look that way @Hanley no problem I guess as long as thay deliver without any issues.
The R5mk2 will be coming from Panamoz so that should be worry free.
Which information are you referring to @Brentor
Yes. They seem to be.Sorry, I meant to quote:
Are Camerasdori and Cotswold the same company just trading under different names
Not sure if this has been covered and in what detail - Do Panamoz have items shipped direct and Cotswold often have things shipped to their UK base (to check the item) - then send it on. What are the implications of each way should they get stopped at customs for additional import and tax charges (I don;t think this actually happens as much as it probably should with grey imports)I ordered a battery grip and a spare battery for the R5mk2 from Camerasdori 11 days ago and I still haven't had an update or a tracking number.
Looks like there's quite a difference in the quality of service between Camerasdori/Cotswold and Panamoz.
I think they do because you get tracking all the way from China usually. Where as Cotswold and E-Infinity only the tracking from within the UK.Not sure if this has been covered and in what detail - Do Panamoz have items shipped direct and Cotswold often have things shipped to their UK base (to check the item) - then send it on. As Cotswold Cameras is not VAT registered, we cannot provide VAT invoices. The prices on the Website are inclusive of all taxes, duties, and VAT-equivalent amounts required by law. No additional VAT will be added at checkout.
It is more complicated than this, the UK company is just an agent, the actual contract is with Chateaubriand Ltd which is a Hong Kong co.I just took a look at Cotswold and can't believe the prices. I came here to ask if anyone got a VAT receipt...but looked deeper into their site to get the answer.
So, this means that they turn over less than £90K... Something doesn't smell right to me (on a tax level - am sure they have genuine gear). If you add VAT to their prices they're about the same as HDEW. Personally, I'd rather do business with HDEW. Either Cotswold sells very little gear or their tax arrangements are shady.
