Cotswold Cameras

Probably not the nicest reason for my first post on the forum. Anyway, I would appreciate your thoughts.

This is the bottom sticker of a camera I just received from cotswoldcameras.

It's definitely not a Sony serial number format. The number in the camera menu is, of course, different. The shop claims that these are regional variations. The camera seems to be working fine. Has anyone had a similar mismatch?
See if the serial sticker comes off, my 35mm lens had a strange serial sticker, I peeled it off and the Nikon one was underneath, I think it might be a way round the import gobbledygook

No, it doesn't come off, and there is clearly no second layer there. I managed to check this before packing the camera up for return.

Hi, purchased a Nikon Z6 III from Cotswold and arrived within a week same kind of time frame I had with Panamoz so thought OK I'll get a 24-120mm from Cotswold as was around £100 cheaper than quoted from Panamoz I paid for it 10th Feb 26 order confirmed 11th Feb 26 today 26th Feb 26 still no word of dispatch on day 12 of the 14 working days delivery time scale, I did contact them on the 19th Feb 26 as had no info on dispatch and received this reply
'Your order is currently being processed in our warehouse.

Our delivery timeframe is 7-14 working days, so you can expect your order to arrive at early March, though it may arrive earlier. We will send you the tracking information once your order has been dispatched, allowing you to make arrangements to be at home for the delivery.'
Have to say with Panamoz I received updates and tracking within a couple days of paying.
Russ.

Chinese new year, they should have told you that. Panamoz had a clear notice on their site saying no orders dispatched until 24th Feb. One is a professional company, the other a bloke operating out of his bedroom.

Well I got an email this morning 27 /02/26 from Cotswold at 07:49 informing me that my lens had been shipped from warehouse, at 1925 last night received text from a company never heard of 'Wonic Source Ltd' advising lens was due to be delivered today 27/02/26, text from Royal Mail will be delivered between 11:10 and 14:10 today, then another from RM delivery between 16:05 & 19:30. arrived 18:50. Not tried the lens yet but at least it arrived.

Not sure if warranty has been mentioned but I've had it confirmed that it is not transferable

I bought a Nikon ZR with the kit 24-70mm f4 lens from them about 7 weeks ago. Order was placed on 26th February, shipped on 3rd March from Hong Kong and it was delivered to me on 5th March by DHL.

Unfortunately for me a few days after delivery Nikon issued a recall for certain ZRs and mine was one of those. Cotswold Cameras suggested I return the camera to them instead of Nikon, which I thought was great. They picked up the camera and lens (they asked me to send them the whole order) on 30th March. I will provide an update once I receive my ZR back.

I've also ordered a Sony A6700 from them on 11th April and will provide an update once I receive this as well.

My replacement Nikon ZR arrived today (15th April). Just got an email this morning from the team that it will be with me soon. Tracking showed that it came from "EASYLUXURY LTD" and that order with DPD (Global) was made on 8th April. No idea when or where from the item actually shipped though.

That’s really good news not just for you ,but it also puts all the doubting Thomas pundits to bed .. the only reason these days to buy from a u.k high street shop for high priced items is if you need finance . I actually popped into a camera shop the other day ,not been in this one for a year or two and was surprised at the low stock levels on display . Sign of the times perhaps

Ordered a Tamron 70-180 2.8 G2 last Monday, paid a little extra for expedited shipping, arrived this morning by RMSD, can't fault the service.
