Could do with some honest opinions please.

Over the last few weeks I have put some time and effort in redesigning my website and although I posted for website crit a month ago I would really appreciate your opinions again as it is so easy to get blinkered when your staring at a computer all day.

For me, there is too much on the landing page. I would move everything below the "menu" to a different page.

Can you make the menu expand upwards rather than down when you hover over the items? On my laptop with a non-maximised window I didn't even realise there were other items appearing as most of the window was taken up with the graphic.

Same problem if I click on the menu items. Eg if I click on GoPro Blog, I end up with a screen which looks no different from the one I was on - I have to scroll down to actually see anything other than the graphic and menu bar.

Even with a maximized window (1024 x 768), I have to scroll to see most of the important content on a page.

If I click on the "headings" in the menu bar (Eg Photography Galleries or Video Galleries) rather than a menu item (Eg Nightlife) then I would expect to end up on a page where I can click on the items. Instead I end up on a page which doesn't seem to have any content other than the menu bar & graphics.

Hopefully that is constructive rather than negative

I designed the home page initially with little content but was not happy and have over time added bit by bit, I don't really expect to get and business by people randomly visiting, what I use it for is showcasing my work when im pitching to a company or individual.

The header was a plug in with a set size but im sure with a few tweaks it can be reduced to a smaller size.

With the navigation menu I quite like the idea of it scrolling upwards as I want this site to be a little different from other photography sites ive been on.

Regards the photography and videography galleries I will add a linkable page so when you click the top header it will show you the availiable galleries.

May i suggest. Home page can have a nice big flash banner as you have. Rest of the pages with information, maybe just something small.

The flash banner is stoppable with just a click, a feature I was looking for when shopping around for plug ins, the main emphasis for the site was to have something a little different from a cross fade main header that all photography sites seem to have and as a motion graphics designer, be it a self taught one, I wanted the site to have a certain stun/unique factor.

The problem is you can get carried away with that and focus too much in that area to a point that what you've created is an eyesore and hence this post.

Maybe I can tweak the banner to only rotate on the homepage and just show one individual image on the rest.
