I'm feeling abit out of ideas for decent shots at the minute and wondered where other people tend to get their ideas from? I'm always flicking around deviantart but don't really want to copy people. I don't drive so getting to interesting places isn't easy so I'm working more around and in my home and I really can't think of interesting ideas to shoot.

best bit of advice I ever got - Always have a project on the go and always shoot what you love.

that bit of advice just there got me an idea I have been prepping for for some time now and should be shooting next weekend

Try shooting to a theme so i.e. "Pattern" then the following week choose a new theme aka "Lines".

Perhaps look at photographers' books for inspiration. Regarding looking at contemporary photographers' work, never copy an idea directly but don't hesitate to interpret it in your own way. Just put an 'inspired by' link beneath your work & no doubt the artist will just feel accomplished in having inspired someone. Best wishes.

Yeah as IamAshlyRose said. Its all about getting inspiration from others work and interpreting their ideas into your own. Thats what I do with graphic design too.
