Credit Card Section 75 protection ~ a question?

I wonder, because it is not clear to me, if Section 75 covers foreign currency payments for overseas 'purchases' of products & services.

More explicitly if one pays for a hotel accommodation booking in USD, is that covered by that protection?

TIA for any experienced insight on this subject :)

From Experian

It applies to foreign transactions as well as goods bought online, by telephone, or mail order for delivery to the UK from overseas. You can even claim against a now closed credit card account. The law also applies to store cards.

Thanks for the pointer (y)
