Hi all,

I've been asked to photograph my works cricket team tomorrow night and I'm looking for some hints, tips and inspiration!

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I've done a couple, and whilst action shots look great I've always prefered ones that show a bit of emotion, players celebrating etc.

Try keeping the lens on the bowler after he has bowled, see if can catch a shout. Image search "howzat" for an idea

Try shooting the slip players if there is a fast bowler on. It is great to see arms in the air as the ball shoots towards the small group.

This is a good tip. I've done a few matches just at our local club, but knowing who is who, who is on the field, and matching that to a general knowledge of the sport means you can somewhat anticipate what shots you can look for and when.
