Cropping

I have a bad habit of cropping my bird images too much, in this case i felt including the habitat helps the image. Would love to know what you guys think.

I tried a diffent method of sharpening, to my normal unsharp mask.

Looks good, might look a bit better if the bird was a tad higher? Just a suggestion

Good shot - maybe the crop being more letter box style so the sky doesn't distract the eye.

I really like it, very nice shot. It would also work very well using Toms suggestion of a letter box crop.

nice shot, but i would prefer to see the owl a little higher in the frame, maybe put it on the intersection of 2 thirds lines ?

Thanks all for looking and commenting, i was wondering if i should put this up as it did not quite fit as a bird portrait, or as a wildlife image showing detailed behaviour.
