cross hair

can anyone tell me if there is a way to get the crosshair centre focusing point put on to my 60d ?
my eyes are not so good and i do like to manual focus sometimes. the crosshair does help, i have it on a very old ricoh that was given to me 20 years ago.

You can use rangefinder in all modes except M page 116 in the manual if that is any help at all

The 40D/50D/60D can accept alternate focussing screens, it's a quick job to switch it out but a little fiddly. I changed mine for one of the Canon alternates, but Canon don't produce a crosshair style screen.

You could try the KatzEye, I've never seen one so I can't speak for it's usefulness. From the description it sounds like it might be what you're looking for. But it's not cheap, and you should check for user reviews as to whether it's suitable for lenses slower the f/2.8 or not.

Alister i think the lens issue is a big problem. also i read the metering is compromised a little.
