I am pretty set on getting this pc to go with a Dell 2209WA screen. It seems like just what im after and is under £500

Gamer Infinity 600

It will be used for photoshop work, capture nx2, i-tunes and general internet use as well as storing 1,000 of pictures.

spec is:

Intel core2 E8500
2x2gb Ram
500gb HDD
GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 16X PCI Express
PCI Wireless 802.11g 54Mbps Network Interface Card.
Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card
Professional Wiring with High Performance Thermal Compound on CPU.

the motherboard is a

(Quad-Core support) MSI P31 Neo-F V2 P31 Chipset LGA775 FSB800/1066/1333 DDR2 Mainboard

will i be better off to get a

(QX9650 support) Asus P5QL Pro P43 Chipset LGA775 FSB1600 DDR2/1066/800 Mainboard w/GbLAN,USB2.0,&7.1Audio £30 extra

I will be using a Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card and am not sure if the top one will have room for a, pci wireless card, pci-e grafics card and asus pci-e sound card.

Also Will i be better with Vista Home Premium 32-bit or 64-bit?
i could double the ram at a later date with 64 if needed but could suffer with driver problems?

Hope you can help :)

On the terms of which OS to use, ideally you will need the 64 bit edition to utilise all of the ram.

A 32 bit OS can only address 4GB of ram in total, That includes any ram you have on your video, sound and any other card you may have in there with on-board ram.

The above system would only be able to use around 2.75 GB`s of the 4GB system memory.

As for driver problems, Most if not all new hardware comes with 64 bit drivers.
Ive been running V64 for almost a year now with very little problems, an absolute dream compared with XP64 :)

Both boards have on-board audio so unless you're after HiFi quality sound I'd not bother with the Sound card.

Get Vista 64, I've been using it on two PC's for over a year now & no problems with drivers at all :)
