What is the slowest shutter speed I can get out of this camera.

I'm getting slightly confused as I want to do some car trail pics but I am not sure if I can do like 30 sec exposures? Been trying but not having any luck - manual does not have anything about this

Thanks in advance

(Assuming it's the same as the D60, which I think it is):

Put it in Shutter Priority mode (S on the top dial)
Rotate the thumb wheel to the left, that should change the speed and the aperture to match. Mine goes up to 30
Job's a goodun

If you want even longer you'll need to use manual mode then you can use bulb

Ok cool, cheers. I'll try this when I get home. For some reason I am assuming I thought it was 1/30 instead of 30/1

i think for car trail pics best to use full manual then u can adjust the aperture settings independently and select your shutter speeds (30 seconds no problem) or set it to bulb (B) in the focus screen.

yeah you need manual because it's best to use an aperture of f22 on long exposures for light trails, also have a spare battery handy because long shutter times consume extra power as it writes to the card.
Also take off auto iso and manually set it to iso100.
