D500 Tethering software to a tabelt/laptop

Hello Guys,

Hoping you can help me here I'm after some software for a nikon d500 so I have remotely operate my camera from a tablet/laptop which I have a USB connection running from it.

I've had a look at a couple but nothing worked so far so any suggestions most welcom

The only options I have used are Lightroom, I found it worked well and Nikon Camera Control, which I found a little clunky. To use either with a D500 make sure you update either, as only updated versions will support a D500.
 
To remotely operate the D500 you can use a Camranger, which is a wireless means of connecting to the camera with access to multiple functions: www.camranger.com

Do you know if you can switch to video mode or only do stills with those?

with free Capture Pilot.
