D600 flash sync speed

I understand that the max sync speed for the D600 is 1/200, but with a Nikon flashgun high speed sync allows much faster sync speeds. My SB700 will happily sync as fast as I care to shoot.

Can anyone tell me if the Nissin Di866 will also allow high speed sync with a D600, or has Nikon somehow prevented this feature for third party flashes?

The nissin di866 supports high speed sync so unless there is a Nikon thing I'm unaware of then you would be fine for flash use beyond 1/200 with HSS enabled
