Hi everyone

So I am getting a D90 next week secondhand for what I think is a good price. I want a body with an inbuilt focus motor so I can use older AFD lenses on it. It saves money. I do mostly portrait work but also some street photography. Is anybody still using the D90? I saw some pictures and I thought they were totally fine in spite of its age in conjunction with a good sharp lens.

About the carry around lens... I am thinking of a 35 1.8G but I could get something older only I don't know much about older lenses. I am not keen on the 50 for street photography. On crop I find it too tight.
So any ideas. I am looking for something inexpensive but good. 24mm to 35mm seems a good range. Thanks

I'm not keen on 50mm either and used to use a 24mm AFD on my D90 on the street.

I would have recommended the 35 1.8G as I used that successfully on my D90. Oh and by the way, there is nothing wrong with a D90, I have regretted selling mine since I did, I wish I had just paid to upgrade, not traded in.
