Hi Guys

I asked this question on another thread but I think it got lost in the varying discussions that were going on.

If I get a battery grip for my D40 will it increase the FPS as it is suppose to on the D90.

Just one more question if you will indulge me, Will the ISO of 1600 be less grainy on a D90 than a D40 as it is almost unusable with the latter at the moment.

Thanks in advance

Sean

Forgive me Puddleduck but I was hoping that I would also get an answer from someone who doesn't actively like grips and even may have tried them on both cameras. I was not intending to ignore your answer, it just wasn't the one I was looking for :naughty:

And I haven't asked the second question before now

Sean

For starters the D90 fps isn't increased when using a grip.

ISO 1600 is very usable on a D90 btw.

Nope, adding a battery grip to either a D40 or a D90 will not increase the fps - this only applies to the D300/700 when fitted with the MB-D10 grip and either AA or an EN-EL4a battery.

With regard to your second question - yes, 1600 iso more usable on a D90 than on a D40.

Well I'm sorry you didn't like my answer, but no matter how many times you ask the same question, I'm afraid I was correct with the first answer.

Why would someone who doesn't actively like grips have tried them out? Surely they'd stay clear of grips?
