Is there some way to lock the shutter speed , I keep moving it with the control wheel when I am shooting. I did RTFM.:bang:

Shoot in manual M mode or shutter priority S mode
Either one of these will let you specify a shutter speed, however in M mode you'll also have to set the aperture F-stop.
As for catching the wheel with your hand, you may have to re-adjust how you hold the camera, I use a battery grip (MB-D10) to balance the camera and make it easier to hold, I also shoot in M mode.

I always use manual in my studio but I keep catching the dam wheel, may be a grip is the only answer. I was hoping someone would know a way to lock the shutter speed once I had it set.

Or gaffer tape, that fixes everything, not a bad idea BTW
