Yes
I have been asked to do some work for a construction company and i do not know what i should be charging. This is for exterior and interior shots. Can anyone help me with costs.

Thanks for that, just had a wee look and the costs seem rather high for this end of the world. Even 800 per day for interiors on new builds seems laughable or am i totally wrong.

That is what an experience and established pro could expect to earn. However, I am guessing that you don't have much experience in the field, so you should adjust accordingly! You don't want to undervalue yourself though...I can't really advise further without knowing more about your experience etc!

Well my experience was in undercover surveillance then a few years ago an accident retired me from things. I started to put my photo skills to the test and worked semi pro for a few years. I have won an award in the states and worked mainly in the corporate sector for clients in engineering. Money then was between 750 and a thousand a day but i have never done any interiors for new home builds and a local company asked me.

You should be able to get the shots without anyone knowing.

Sounds like you have plenty of experience to charge a proffessional rate. £800 for a days work providing a proffessional service is not excessive.

The guide actually says you should be charging £1500 ro £2000 "Photography - Corporate work", at that rate I might give it a go myself..

The going rate for architectural photography is around £600 day at the moment. That's what the larger construction companies are paying, so £800 might be a little rich but it's not that far off.

I think this is the best of the three Jock. I like the atmosphere, on the down side the highlights have not been handled well.. but it is technically difficult and a valiant attempt. A boat in the foreground would have set it off nicely - why is there never one when you want one!!!

yeh i was not too happy with the highlights but the sun was very intense and did not want to over process the shot afterwards. Thanks for that though.

have a look at highlandcommercialphotography.com - there is some crap on there but some good shots too. Not too terrible for a man that was used to shooting terrorists and criminals. Oh sorry that's just our government. lol
