Ive been watching these and they are pretty good, but one thing that has disapointed me is that although they show the shot they just took, they dont give much information as to the settings.
A lot of the time they say they are using very high ISO;s like 1000 or 800.
With my 400D these ISO's are unusable. Is it really that much better with the 5D?

According to Phils review of the 400D on DPReview the 400D did ok in the noise tests at higher iso's. Certainly iso 800 should be very usable if not even 1600.

Main problem with shooting in high iso is you have to be bang on with exposure. Trying to rectify over or under exposure in PS will increase the noise.

Oh of course there is also noise ninja etal.

Hi

I have a 400D and a 5D2 - regardless of what any review says on my 400D the photos on my camera at 800 iso don't look great at 1600 they look really bad.

Comparing this to my 5d2, i'd say that i have to crank the iso right up to 6400 to start to get the same noise as i did at 800 /1600.

Just my experience though...

hope this helps
Anna
