Dancing Grey Heron

Nice sharp images Gary but mostly slightly under-exposed again (f9) I'm sure you could adjust settings ... do you use Auto-ISO?
I can;t explain this behaviour and I haven't seen it myself, best guess is just happily trying its wings out ... or maybe it's eaten something that's trying to climb back out!

I did observed that behaviour but at the marsh,
in shallow waters. I did not get the why but your
suggestion that "
maybe it's eaten something that's
trying to climb back out" is quite interesting!

In terms of digital photography, I would not chose
the word "underexposed"*** though since modern
converters can handle that pretty well but I under-
stand what you mean and agree.

Gary, may I dare suggest…

I was wondering what to call this in digital terms
and "under rendered" is all I came up with but, as
it is working well in French, I don't know how to
express that idea in English!

Thanks Rodger for your input it is appreciated.
With this sequence of shots, I meant to dial in a faster SS but changed the aperture .
Normally I use auto ISO, but with these shots I set the ISO at 800.

First of all Daniel thanks for taking the time to edit my image. I do like to see what others can do with my images.
