Where on the moor will yo be based? It's quite a large area and it can take a while to get from one side to another. Parts of the moor also get very crowded, especially at the weekends. Even early mornings aren't immune from this affliction.
My personal favourites are Huccaby bridge, Combestone Tor, Hound Tor, the road between Poundsgate and the Warren House Inn and the reservoirs. Have a look at Google Earth and look at the bluie squares for inspiration. Last time I was in a café in Widecombe in the Moor, there were some nice pics on the wall, might be worth a look, again, for inspiration.
