Derelict buildings/places

I'm doing a project on abandoned buildings and was wondering if anybody knew of any interesting sites around essex/suffolk/london area?

There are lots - and in the current economy it shouldn't be hard to find something local to just about anywhere, the best way to go find them is to get out on the road.. either by car, bike or bus and look.

You could try looking on the UrbEx forums (e.g. 28DaysLater or UrbexExForum) but don't go asking where the buildings are.. all these forums hate people just cherry-picking the sites that others have found when there are so many at the side of the road.

How about some of the disused London Underground stations? Some have been left untouched since the Victorian era.

I believe there are organisations that explore these with supervision from TFL.
