Hi, didn't know where to post this but I have a question about an idea I have had.

Literally across the road they are ruining a well known field that used to have a few horses that everybody used to go and feed and pet :bang:, well now the land has been brought and they are building on it a church, sport complex and business estate. So my idea is to take pictures of the construction every other week maybe to capture the before and after but didn't know wether or not it was worth it.

Looking forward to all your advice if you have any?

Cheers
Nick

Sounds like a good idea, perhaps maybe do one photo a day then when theyve finished put all the photos together to create a video.

Basic camera in a window, fixed tripod, one shot per day and as above, nice little timelapse video at the end :D

I wouldn't want to tie-up a DSLR for that, a cheap compact with a decent image (so not too many MP). If it will take an external power feed and can be hacked with a firmware mod to take the shot automatically, so much the better.. (something from Canon that will take CHDK?).

That is a bit too technical for me I think, I may have knowledge with electronics
but that is something else lol I think a compact on a gorilla pod with a shutter cable maybe?

Sounds like a good call, personally id shoot 5-6 shots a day, sunrise to sunset, will give a much better feel of time!

That's a good idea actually.
