Dew soaked bugs?

Yes
I see a lot of Macro pictures on insects covered in dew - the cynic inside me thinks this is a by product of using low temperatures to slow down the subject rather than all the images being taken at dawn. I strive to only take pics of living bugs in the natural habitat as it increases the challenge and therefore the reward feels more worthwhile.

Wondered what other people thought.

I've used an atomizer before now.
Some bugs will sit still if you're careful.

Or it could be that the photographer knows what conditions are likely to result in insects being covered in dew and has made the effort to get out there and photograph them.

Oh definitely, but finding the insect is hard enough as it is...
People say that the trick is to look at night where e.g dragonflies/butterflies go and then get up early the next day to find them still.
I have never had the time to do that. I am a skylark but live with owls so this would be tricky for me.
