I want to buy a gimbal head and this sounds interesting - can anybody comment please?
 
Moved to the correct forum for you :)

I believe three of our members have gimbal heads, particularly CT, Pink Fairy, and IanC_UK.

Hopefully one of them will be along shortly to give you an insight :)
 
CT has a Dietmar Nill head, as far as i can tell from our many discussions on the subject he loves it :) i have the Wimberley 2 head and its fantastic too, only main difference would be my tripod/Wimberley combo will probably be that much taller than a Tripod/Nill combo because of its design, otherwise not a great deal between them to be honest i dont think :)
