Do Sigma do replacement parts for lenses??

I have a Sigma 70-200 2.8 lens and noticed the other day that somehow the bit you turn to loosen the tripod mount ring has fallen off :( so I can't currently loosen it...

Is it worth emailing Sigma and seeing if I can buy a new screw thing to fix onto the lens?? I don't have any receipts or anything and it's not under warranty, reckon they could send me a spare one?? :help:
 
Isn't it easier to ask them rather than invite speculation from those who don't know?

Give them a call - very nice people and you'll get the answer from the horse's mouth.
 
Yes I just wondered whether there was anyone who had delt with Sigma before with problems like this :)

I will give them a call but currently have flu so sound like a man and have regular coughing fits so phone conversations are tricky at the moment ;)

You could always email them :)
 
Ring them up with your serial number, if its not a Grey Import they will be very helpful, regardless of whether is in or out of warranty or even if you are not the original owner.
 
yes, they sell parts.
whether they have the particular part for your particular lens is something that only they can answer.
