? would anyone know who or where insurance companys get there market value for vehicles.. as mine was picked up today i think they will write it off and i will get market value..
ive looked on a few sites but they do differ..

Don't know. but I do know the values can be challenged.

I know someone that had a 13 year old mazda 626 he bought after it had been in storage for just over 12 years! He damaged the front wing and the insurance wanted to write it off based on book value. Took a fight but he got the value corrected.
 
A dealer will laugh at you if you mention parkers

CAP is the guide they trust

Yeh I looked @ Parkers when I wrote off my Audi A3. They valued it at 4.5k.
The insurance company gave me 6.5k :D
 
Glasses is the most used guide in the industry afaik, but its not available to the public. Certainly not available in a newsagents Im afraid.

If you want glasses you're better off going to Specsavers than WH Smith :LOL:
