Does dvi connection make difference

Hello,


I'm thinking of buying high end dell monitor but dont have a dvi connection in my laptop, I see I can buy a dvi hdni converter will this be the same quality or what's my options
 
DVI and HDMI will be the same quality. They are both digital (and compatible with the right converters).
 
I see a monitor but it requires dvi for best results but alike I said I don't have this connection in laptop will hdmi cable do the same from monitor to laptop which has hdmi

DVI is awesome. I definitely notice a difference between DVI and VGA
 
If your laptop has a hdmi socket it's best to get a monitor with the same as this carries the sound without the need for another lead. Your laptop will probably have a vga socket too and it's easy to fit a dvi/vga converter and the quality should be the same.
 
VGA is not as good quality as DVI/HDMI as it is analogue. At the resolutions of todays monitors, you will get moire fringing on certain images with VGA...
